Your details, our care

This page explains what happens with the details you leave with so-nu. Short version: we keep only what you give us on the Connect page, we use it to invite you and keep you posted, and you can leave at any time.

What we collect, and why

• On the Connect page: your email, and if you choose to share them, your name, phone number and Instagram handle, and whether you make art, have a space we could use or would like to come to a session. We use them to send you invitations to sessions and occasional updates about so-nu, and to reach you about a session you're part of. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR).
• Confirmation: after you sign up you get one email asking you to confirm. Until you do, we send nothing else. Sign-ups that are not confirmed within 30 days are deleted.
• When you write to us by email, we keep the conversation for as long as it takes to answer you and to arrange what we agreed on.

Where your details live

On a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH, located in Finland (EU), running open-source software (Listmonk) that we operate ourselves. Emails are sent through Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.), our mail provider. We don't track opens or clicks in our emails, and we don't sell or pass your details to anyone else.

The website itself

• Hosting: so-nu.space is delivered by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, your browser sends the usual technical data (IP address, time, page, browser) to Vercel's servers, which keep short-lived logs to run and protect the service.
• Fonts: our typefaces are served from our own site. Nothing is requested from Google or any other font service.
• On your device: the Connect page remembers in your browser that you already signed up, so it can show you the links straight away. Nothing is sent from that, and it stays on your device.
• No cookies, no analytics, no advertising.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details. Unconfirmed sign-ups: 30 days. Email conversations: until the matter is settled.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw your consent, for instance with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to join@so-nu.space. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; for us that is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
